Ministry is not meant to be accomplished through an individual or family; ministry is accomplished through a team that God puts together. In 3 John, the Apostle John is writing to Gaius and commending him for taking care of some traveling Christians. John writes in verse 8, "Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth." By supporting a ministry, the Bible says that you are taking part in the ministry, becoming fellow workers. What opportunities has God provided for support?
Prayer

Prayer is our most needed support. We could have millions of dollars and hundreds of co-workers, but without prayer support, it would be pointless. Here are some general ways to pray for the ministry:
- The Gonnerman family - Japanese study, unity, love, and becoming more like our Savior
- The Japanese Christians - Courage to speak boldly, strength to minister, and encouragement
- The Japanese People - Seek help when needed, realizing that the Bible is not merely an "American" book, understanding who God is and what He has done for them
- Supporting people and churches - Blessings for their ministry, peace and joy through difficult times, and continued faithfulness to God
Giving
There is no way around it: ministry requires finances. Living costs, ministry costs, health insurance, taxes in both countries, and travel expenses all add up. For those whom God has called to aid in the ministry in Japan, there is a page on the BMM website that lists ways that you can give.

Going to Japan
This is the smallest group of supporters, but there may be some who are called by God to visit or live in Japan. If you want to know more about Japanese ministry opportunities, please feel free to email us.
